Growing up at Mount Ninderry on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland, and now living in the Dandenong Ranges, Victoria, I’ve always been surrounded by lush forests and wanted to capture the beauty of that in a book. I created the ’ Forest Floor’ and ‘Creek’ illustrations that feature in this book, and that sparked the idea to draw other Australian landscapes at night and feature some of the nocturnal creatures to be found. Which in turn became this book.
